Popularised in 1834 by Lord Brougham, the fisher village suddenly became one of the favourite places of British aristocracy. Many Mansions and Grand Hotels were built at the end of the 19th Century. Today, with the Convention Palace, these landmarks still account for the prestige of the seaside town.

Cannes, the place where every movie star dreams to win an award, or at least to be seen. It’s also the hiding place where the famous prisoner Iron Mask in the 17 century found refuge when he escaped from the prison in St Marguerite island. 

Walking together, we’ll discover not only the glamour of the red carpet, but also the beautiful local market and the old city called “Le Suquet” where sit the Castel (11-12th Century), the church “Notre Dame de l’Espérance”(1641) and the tower where the Iron Mask found refuge.
